Check out our predictions of the day for Greece vs. Kazakhstan

Prediction 1: Greece x Kazakhstan / Greece to win

Kazakhstan has challenged many of their continental rivals in recent months despite their lack of famous names, and the return of top scorer Zaynutdinov will be a welcome boost.

We still anticipate Poyet’s squad to advance to next week’s playoff final, even though Thursday’s match should not be a cakewalk for Greece. Their defense is not expected to come out unscathed.

Prediction 2: Greece x Kazakhstan / Over 2.5 goals

Greece has a perfect record against Kazakhstan, winning all three matches. That makes them heavy favorites to win this tie. Much has transpired since those matches, which took place between 2004 and 2006—not the least of which is Kazakhstan’s current condition. Given how outstanding they have been thus far in the season, they should come close to defeating the hosts.

The Grecians’ recent scoring record suggests this encounter may be rather exciting. Our forecast for the match between Greece and Kazakhstan is that more than 2.5 goals will be scored.

Prediction 3: Greece x Kazakhstan / Both teams to score

Kazakhstan and Greece are both higher in rankings than Kazakhstan, with Kazakhstan’s first-team clubs outperforming Greece’s premier league teams. With potent goal scorers Fotis Ioannidis and Giorgios Giakoumakis, Greece has a good chance of winning the match. Greece has scored in three of its past five competitive games and Kazakhstan’s previous three away qualification matches.
